The Wellbeing Committee
Who Are We?
Our Wellbeing Committee is a group of 36 year 6 children, all of whom are volunteers. They have been trained by Flourish Business Psychology to support children who may feel worried, anxious, cross or upset. The Wellbeing Committee wear tabards so that they are easily recognisable by the children at school and they are available in the classrooms, playground and field throughout lunchtimes to help anyone who may be upset or have nobody to play with.
How We Make a Difference....
During lockdown, the Wellbeing Committee made a video of ideas to help pupils foster a positive mind-set throughout the pandemic.

As well as their work with pupils, our Wellbeing Committee are tireless fundraisers for the school. They have already been awarded grants and sponsorship from Cantium Business Solutions and Head Start Kent to build the Calm Cottage, get the school new gym equipment and start an art club! They also gathered food and household items for the local food bank to help residents in the surrounding areas who may be struggling.
The Wellbeing Committee visit local nurseries and old people’s homes to support the wellbeing of our community and aim to continue this work to help those living with dementia and living on their own.
