Digital Leaders

Who Are We?

We are Kings Hill School’s Digital Leaders and it is our job to help support children from Nursery to KS2 with their computing knowledge and skills. We meet with Miss Valentine every week and work together to build, create and complete computing projects within the school. We think carefully about the digital world we live in, and support children with online safety. We will be working with children and teachers to  ensure that everyone at Kings Hill School knows how to use technology safely and respectfully, keep their personal information private and know where to go for help and support if they ever have a worry or concern. We help influence decisions about digital things at our school and gain pupil perspective about how we can make a difference at Kings Hill School.

How We Make A Difference...

Our aim is to spread new knowledge and skills across our school. We are working to become experts in computing so that we can support both children and staff with new programmes, equipment and resources. Throughout the year we will be holding assemblies, running events such as ‘National Coding Week’ and ‘Safer Internet Day’, ordering and testing new equipment, providing educational videos for both children and staff. In the near future, we will be participating in anti-bullying week, providing knowledge and support about cyberbullying. We have lots planned for the year and we cannot wait to get involved in our projects!

• Monday 18 December 2023 Digital Leaders Christmas Update Our digital leaders have shown immense dedication and hard work in their efforts to support online safety. They have been focusing on producing their very own top tips for regularly used apps. Through this initiative, they have not only considered the benefits of using each app but also the potential risks associated with them. It's wonderful to see our children taking such a proactive approach to online safety. As you are aware, in today's digital age, online safety is of paramount importance. With the increasing use of technology and social media, it's crucial for our young people to be aware of the potential risks and how to use digital platforms responsibly.
